February was Fun!

February was Fun!

I’ve decided to try and do a little recap at the end of each month as a little reminder of what was accomplished. I missed January so will recap it here before I begin February, “it was crap”, OK now that’s done we’ll move on.

February began well with a Battle of the Bands heat win at Bubbles on 7th February before moving on to headline The Blyth and Tyne the following week, on the 14th. After those two local gigs things started heating up with a 700 mile round trip and an almost 24 hour day to do a gig at The Dublin Castle in Camden Town on the 19th, all that way and people still came to see us, it was great. A shorter 100 mile round trip followed that with a visit to The Princess Alice in Middlesbrough on the 22nd, where we went down well, gained some new fans and ran out of promo CD’s, even signing some on the night, fantastic. Following that was a 200 mile round trip to Whistlebinkies in Edinburgh, on the 26th, where we made more new friends and had a great time.

We also had a very short interview with the Nutty Professor from Koast Radio, done at Bubbles BotB and broadcast the following week. As well as this we had our regular Monday night play on New Wave with Newman on Radio Northumberland. (more news on radio stuff to come soon, watch this space)

So to sum it up, over 1,000 miles, a few gigs, lots of new friends and a fantastic month overall. Lets hope the year keeps going just this way, keep checking back to see how things go for us.
